A large example of a European 19th Century Medieval-style Broadsword
This is the type of sword produced during the 19th Century in imitation of Medieval swords that were very popular in large baronial homes and followed (particularly in England) the Gothic Medieval Revival. Of large proportions and with a heavy iron pommel and crossguard – decorated with embossed classical figures. Grip wrapped in cord. Heavy, triangular blade. No scabbard.
Condition of the Sword
With good age toning to the hilt and a clean blade.
