An unusual British/European 1796 Pattern Type Light Cavalry Trooper’s Sword
This sword is typical of the British 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Trooper’s Sword but has a slimmer quillon, more curved and fullered blade than most traditional 1796 Pattern swords. Is probably British but an unorthodox example. With original black painted stirrup hilt bound with leather and steel twistwire. The blade is multi-fullered and double-edged towards the point. No scabbard.
Condition of the Sword
In good overall condition with some wear to the blade.
Specifications of the Sword
Blade length is 30 inches (35 inches overall).
