British c.1860’s German silver cutlery-handled Bowie Knife
Of a type that was made in Sheffield during the mid-19th Century and exported in quantities into the United States during this period. It proved very popular with both soldiers and civilians.

Silver handle in good condition and with crisp detailing. Blade with some wear.
