Scarce British 1845 Pattern Indian Service Warrant Officer’s Sword
With brass, Gothic hilt and etched blade by Thurkle – is quite unusual as most NCO sword would have had a plain blade. Blade forte with ISD (India Stores Department) markings. The hilt is marked M.O.D. (Madras Ordnance Department).
Condition of the Sword
Blade in fine condition and with crisp etching. Hilt fishskin and twistwire all remaining. Complete with original leather and steel mounted scabbard with issue marks to chape.

Blade length is 32.5 inches (38 inches overall).
