Original English c.1640 Rapier Sword
With typical period hilt comprising a single knucklebow attached by a screw to the large, onion-shaped pommel. Knucklebow then forms downwards into three hilt guards attached to the pierced shell guard. To the other side is a pronounced foward guard. Wooden grip and multi-fullered blade.
Condition of the Sword
Condition is worn overall commensurate with its age but there have been no repairs to the hilt bars of guards.
Specifications of the Sword
Blade length is 33 inches (40 inches overall).
