A superb Scottish 19th Century Seaforth Highlanders Officer’s Sporran
This is a very example of a Scottish 19th Century Seaforth Highlanders Officer’s Sporran. An excellent and original Scottish Victorian 78th (Seaforth) Highlanders Officer’s Dress Sporran. With etched brass cantle and numerous white metal battle honours and regimental motifs. Have studied the battle honours and it appears that the last honour is Kandahar (1880) so assume that the sporran dates from around this time. The front of the sporran is covered with white horse hair and etched, brass mounted tassels. To the back of the sporran is red morocco leather with flap. Complete with its original brown leather straps.
Condition of the Sporran
In excellent condition throughout.
Specifications of the Sporran
