C.1850 British Military Short Sword – Scottish Type Blade

An interesting British  sword that dates from the mid-19th Century and comprises a decorative white metal hilt with trefoil finials to the quillons.  Could possibly have been a regimental band sword.  No markings that I can see to blade but is of Scottish broadsword type found on Highland infantry officer’s broadswords of the period so might have Scottish associations.  No scabbard.  Blade length is 26 inches (31.5 inches overall).
