A rare and seldom seen British 1882 Pattern Household Cavalry Trooper’s Sword
This sword is rarely encountered and comprises a large, pierced hilt with royal crown and intertwined “HC” (Household Cavalry). The grip is fishskin with brass twistwire. The blade is slightly curved and plain with sold out of service “X” to the blade forte. The sword comes complete with its original scabbard.
Condition of the Sword
In excellent condition – blade very clean – both hilt and scabbard have pleasing dark age patina.

Blade length is 37 inches (43 inches overall).
