A seldom seen British 19th Century 1821 Pattern NCO’s Sword
A good and scarce example of a late-19th Century 1821 Pattern NCO’s sword with steel, three-bar hilt and fishskin and brass twistwire bound grip. As this an 1821 Pattern it is likely that this was carried by a mounted NCO. The blade forte is stamped with an inspector’s mark. Blade is typically plain. It comes complete with rarely encountered steel and leather mounted scabbard.
Condition of the Sword
In good overall condition and with dark age patina – blade is very clean and bright. Scabbard is fine shape.
Specifications of the Sword
Blade length is 31.5 inches (38 inches overall).
