A super rare British Napoleonic 10th (Prince of Wales’s Own) Light Dragoons Officer’s Sword
This sword was carried by an officer in this famous regiment that saw service throughout the Napoleonic Wars, including the Peninsular Wars and were present at the battles of Corunna and actions at Sahagun and Benavente. Comprises a finely wrought steel, threebar, scrolled hilt with an inset Prince of Wales feathers motif. The grip is made from ribbed ebony. Blade is etched with a royal crown and George III motif. Blade appears to have been originally silvered. No scabbard.
Condition of the Sword
In good overall condition for its age – some chips to top of grip and wear to the blade.
