A good example of a C.1800 Sri-Lankan Kastane Short Sword
This is a distinctive style of sword that was carried throughout Sri-Lanka during the 18th and 19th Century. It has a wooden grip with finely carved monster-head pommel and brass and iron crossguard. The blade is hand forged and slightly curved. No scabbard.
