A very crisp c.WW1 Imperial German Artillery Officer’s Sword
A good example of an Imperial German Artillery Officer’s Sword with extensively decorated blade featuring regimental designation and numerous motifs including gunners in action, imperial eagle, stands of arms and foliage. The blade is stamped with a maker’s mark under the hilt langet – difficult to see but looks like a squirrel so probably Eichhorn and Co. Complete with black painted scabbard.
Condition of the Sword
In excellent condition throughout with a few minor service dings to the scabbard.
Specifications of the Sword
Blade length is 32 inches (37 inches overall).
