Excellent and rare French c.1800’s gilt-brass senior officer’s smallsword
A superb example of a French Napoleonic officer’s smallsword. With typical lionshead pommel and extensive decoration to the fretted hilt guard. Retains original chain link knucklebow. The grip is made from mother-of-pearl and is complete with no damage. The blade is frost etched to half its length. Complete with its original leather and gilt brass scabbard. In excellent condition, particularly the hilt. Blade with light staining in places.
