Excellent French Model 1816 Heavy Cavalry Trooper’s Broadsword
This is a substantial and classic French 19th Century heavy cavalry trooper’s sword. With large four-bar brass hilt and all leather and brass twistwire remaining to the grip. Hilt with stamped inspector’s marks to knucklebow. The blade has a shield stamp to both sides of the blade forte. Blade has been nickel plated for parade purposes, as has the scabbard – both in terrific condition.

In excellent condition throughout – a very clean and tidy sword.
