A terrific and original set of French Napoleonic General/Senior Officer’s Pistol Holsters. These are of exceptional quality and are made from red leather with brass plated and decorated finials. The leather is still in very good condition and with no damage and the other fittings are made from brass. These pistol holsters were made for a large calibre of pistol and were carried during the last years of the Napoleonic Wars. They were made especially for senior officers, including General Officers and senior officers of Lancers, Hussars and Chasseurs. This is a very rare piece and seldom seen in the market.
