A good example of a German c.1850 Heavy Cavalry Trooper’s Sword
This is a large and impressive cavalry sword with a blackened iron hilt covered with leather and brass twistwire to the grip. Plain blade maker marked to the forte. Complete with a very heavy iron scabbard. This is a proper, workmanlike fighting cavalry sword.
Condition of the Sword
In good, overall condition with a small loss of leather to the grip.
Specifications of the Sword
Blade length is 36 inches (42 inches overall).
