Highly unusual German WW2 Army Christmas Colour Decorated Paper Bag for Troops. An original and unique WW2 German Army colour printed paper bag issued to serving troops in Belgium and France. Can’t imagine that many of these have survived and have never seen one before – I purchased it many years ago amongst a large group of papers from a soldier in the Royal Army Service Corps during WW2 who had brought this back home from service in France and Germany.
“Frohe Weihnacht”
With decorated Christmas tree and map of the area behind and motto of “Frohe Weihnacht” or “Merry Christmas”. Interestingly, the original date of 1942 has been overstamped with the date 1944 – no doubt an economy measure. In good condition considering its fragility. Size is 12 inches (height) x 10.5 inches (width). Have another example for sale – see my other listings.
