Excellent 19th Century Turkish Balkan Fighting Kindjal

Of large proportions and with a horn and studded brass hilt. The multi-fullered blade is heavily impressed with armourer’s marks and has a pronounced curve towards the tip. Is complete with the scabbard which has been covered with a hard matting(?) material and the scabbard mounts are decorated gilt brass.  The kindjal has a very fine balance when held in the hand.

Condition of the Kindjal

Hilt and blade in good condition with a good patina to the blade.

Specifications of the Kindjal

Blade length is 24 inches (29 inches overall).
