A scarce and unusual late-19th Century Hadendoa Sudanese Dagger and Scabbard
This dagger is synonymous with the Hadendoa tribes of Sudan, Egypt and Eritrea who fought a number of colonial wars with the British and other European powers during the 19th Century. The style and design of the dagger was peculiar to the Hadendoa and comprises a four pronged ribbed ebony and silver mounted hilt. The blade is plain and curved. Comes complete with a leather and silver mounted scabbard. Unusual to find one of these with its original scabbard.

In excellent condition for its age.
