A scarce British C.1800 Naval Officer’s Sword
A British C.1800 Naval Officer’s Sword with brass stirrup hilt and engraved fouled anchor to the hilt langet. The grip is covered in a form of old tar or sailcloth. The blade is plain and curved. It would have been an effective fighting sword and is very similar to contemporary Napoleonic cavalry officers’ swords.
Condition of the Sword
In good overall condition with consequent age wear to the blade.

Blade length is 28 inches (32 inches overall).
