A fine British C.1800’s Napoleonic Cavalry Officer’s Sword
An unusual British C.1800’s Napoleonic Cavalry Officer’s Sword. This is a non-regulation example with an elaborate hilt consisting of a series of cut steel, curling hilt bars. The grip consists of ebony, wrapped with silver twistwire. The curved blade is etched with stands of trophies, foliage and turk’s heads. No scabbard.
Condition of the Sword
Hilt missing some small pieces of ebony. Blade with heavy wear in places.
Specifications of the Sword
Blade length is 32 inches (38 inches overall).
