A very rare British Napoleonic Foot Artillery Private’s Sword
Here is a scarce and excellent example of a British Napoleonic Foot Artillery Private’s Sword These swords are rarely enountered and especially so when complete with its original scabbard. These swords were carried by private soldier’s in artillery regiments and comprises a brass stirrup hilt and grip covered in leather. The blade is of heavyweight form and unfullered. The blade is maker marked to Gill and is also inspector marked to the forte. The scabbard leather also features tooled decoration.

In very good shape overall.
