An extremely scarce Chinese C.1930’s Nationalist Army Dadao Sword
A good example of a Chinese C.1930’s Nationalist Army Dadao Sword. These massive swords were carried by Chinese Nationalist troops in the war against the Japanese in the 1930’s and 1940’s. The sword has a wooden grip with decorated brass hilt mounts. The sword is of wide, machete type with double fullers. The blade is engraved with Chinese characters and roughly translates as “Dragon”. The sword comes complete with a leather scabbard and carrying strap.
Condition of the Dadao Sword
In very good condition overall. Blade with light service wear.
