19th Century African Congo Songye Fighting Axe #1

Fine example of a late-19th Century/early 20th Century African Congo Songye fighting axe.  With bulbous wooden head covered with driven in iron nails – copper banding to the shaft.  Great age patina and feel.  Height is 17 inches.
