A terrific example of a Prussian late-19th Century Artillery Officer’s Sword
This c.1890 Prussian Artillery Officer’s Sword is interesting and features a very large and unique hilt. The quality of the hilt is very good and comprises a finely detailed lionshead pommel and pierced floral knucklebow. The langet includes crossed cannon motif. The grip retains its fishskin and brass twistwire to the grip. The blade is plain and of pipe back form. Complete with steel scabbard.
Condition of the Sword
In excellent condition – some service dents to the scabbard.

Blade length is 31 inches (37.5 inches overall).
