Scarce and original Spanish dated 1801 Infantry Officer’s Rapier
Interesting dated 1801 Spanish Rapier. Of typical Spanish styling, with double-shell guard, D-guard knucklebow and teardrop quillon. Maker marked with heavily impressed stamp to tang below quillon block. Blade is engraved with the date 1801 and TOLEDO to spine. Original wooden grip.
Condition of the Rapier
In good overall condition with some age wear to the hilt – blade is very clean with no pitting.

Blade length is 32 inches (37 inches overall).
