An original US Model 1917 Winchester Bayonet issued in WW1 to US troops and also carried by British Home Guard troops during WW2. Comprising a steel hilt with ribbed wooden grip secured by rivets. The blade forte is stamped with a “W” (Winchester) within an oval and dated to 1917. On the reverse of the forte is a “US” and flaming grenade.

The bayonet comes complete with its original green painted leather scabbard and bayonet frog issued to the British Home Guard. Bayonet hilt with some wear. Blade retains original parkerising.
